YES! Great site...

I found this site last summer after I got my first of two tickets that summer. It's got tons of great info. I always try to post the link when I see "speeding ticket" posts.

Yes, I did beat the ticket.. don't know what happened but through my lawyer (at 51 over, yes I did opt for a lawyer) it is removed.

so..

in most cases can a lawyer get you out of almost any speeding ticket? The most I go over anyway is about 20, which is still high, but everyone claims to have gotten out of 50-100 anyway And I assume after you've already paid the ticket its to late to do anything eh? damnit..

I thought I already posted something, so please forgive me if I'm being redundant.

I hire a criminal defense attorney EVERY SINGLE TIME I get a ticket. Generally, I get stopped with fair frequency but do not get tickets. However, this year, I have gotten FIVE speeding tickets. So far, we've had four trials and/or preliminary hearings and been victorious in every single case. My FIFTH of the year is scheduled for next Tuesday, I'll let you know how it goes.

I recommend hiring a good defense attorney on these. May seem like overkill, but you should fight them every time because you will occasionally lose. This is the best method for keeping your license clean and your insurance low. I have very low insurance rates and intend to keep them that way, and I have probably saved money going this route. FIVE convictions on speeding in a year? My insurance would be sky-high and I'd probably have a 60 day suspension. Now I know that even if I lose next week, I will not have to worry about my license.

I have probably saved money in the long run. My insurance would go up for at least 5 years. Plus, the sport of fighting them is great fun, too... alone worth the price...

Anyway, that's my STRONG recommendation. It's worth it.

I know you're being funny, but four of them came before the V1... the fifth one with good-old instant-on. Believe it or not, I actually got one of them driving back from UPS where I had *just* picked up my new V1. The box was sitting there on my passenger seat, yet to be used.

That V1 sure has saved my *** enough to pay for itself.

You gotta understand the way I drive. I really fly, plus I drive LOTS.

Later man!

WOOHOO

i went to court today for passing a kids school bus and the judge let me off by doing community service (15 hr) and don't get a ticket for the next 6 months. it's cool though b/c she said i'm suppose to lose my license and my insurance is suppose to go up. what a deal!

Getting 5 tickets is a combination of my aggressive driving, stepped-up enforcement in the region, and bad luck.

However, I hasten to point out that my attorney has won every single one of the cases, so my record is clean and all 5 have been either dismissed or adjudicated as not guilty.

Later on!
