question about Optima Red top battery

are these good batteries? i got one for $120. was that a good price?

Yes they are good. I got mine at CostCo for $99.99 +tax. I wanted the Yellow Top, but they only had Red and Blue.

Red tops are very good starting batteries. Some people are using them for both starting the car and running a stereo system but if you have a pretty big setup (stereo system), I would suggest you go with a yellow top. The red tops are very good batteries though.

thanks guys. you put my mind at ease. my battery just died yesterday and my only available choice was the red top.

I have the red top and a nice system and have had no problems. Yes that is a good price. I paid more, some paid less.
