Are all of the fitting in the NOS kit EXTREMELY tight?
I was trying to lay out the assembly on the kitchen floor. All of the fittings do not cover more than 1/3 of the threads before some serious force is required.
Is this normal and will the teflon paste resolve this issue?

The teflon paste fills in the gaps, and they should be pretty snug, but not overly tight. I still prefer teflon tape, to paste. I've used paste in the past (whew), and its clogged my NOS filter severely.

Use the tape sparingly, keep it away from the 2-3 threads closest to the end of the fitting.

I noticed the same thing when i did my kit. I personally used paste rather then tape. The manual specifically states use paste and not tape but Don is also one of the NOS kings around.

When i first test fitted, i destroyed the soleniod TEE fitting. So now i pretty much know how much to tightne them down before they get FUBARed.

I personally did it hand tight and then used wrenches to snug it up a bit. I didnt force it but to an extent where i thought it was reasonable and tight enough. I shall see if i have any leaks, if i do, i will simpply tighten it up.
