shipping a stillen body kit

i have a painted body kit i gotta ship out to another org member. i drove around to 10 different stores looking for a box long enough to ship it out. i checked through some of cardboard only dumpsters and found nothing. homedepot didnt want to help me out. i have a box thats a few feet wide but onl 3.5 feet long. can i flex the side skirts and ship them out that way? the kit is already painted. maybe im overlooking the obvious, but i want to get this out today since monday is a holiday.

How long are they? If you can find two boxes that are of equal length and each is just a little longer than half of the skirt, you can tape them together at the middle.

its going to be very hard. The only way your going to get it into a box is if you bend it in half.

Go to a mattress or furniture store and ask and cut it to width (even places like Ikea/Staples/etc). Length should be no issue both my box spring and couch came in boxes.

That's an excellent source for a box big enough, I wouldn't bend the skirts in half unless the buyer intends on painting it again, chances are the paint will flake if you bend it in half.
