I am looking for springs for my '99 max but I don't have that much cash to spend on them. I was thinking to go with Sprint spring but to keep the stock struts. Does anyone recommend me doing this or will this affect the ride quality and ruin my struts prematurly? Has anyone tried this before? Thanks for the help.

Advice from my own.....

experience I have Progress Springs.....and I put them on without upgrading my struts....in a hurry to get it lowered...it rides good to me but eventually I will need new shocks/struts so save up to get the shocks/struts also and save your self double fees....alignment and labor.... kill two birds with one stone...get all of it..if you can only get springs first...get them and save to get the shocks/struts...we all know money can be tight for some of us....cool!!!!

Re: Advice from my own.....

That suspension setp will not be friendly for long. Sprints are pretty rough compared to OEM springs.

What do you guys think of Eibach Springs with stock struts? Although Eibach springs are much more expensive, I read that you don't need to change the struts with Eibach's, however if you do, it will add to the ride quality. Is this a good setup? (stock struts & Eibach Pro-kits)

The ride will be rough, but I am told by a fellow maxima driver who has sprint and toks that my ride is a hella lot smoother.. so whatever.. im sure my struts are shot though.

MaxiPad96, how long have you had the springs on your car and when do you plan on changing the struts?

Nathan, I woudn't recommend buying a stiff spring like an eibach or a sprint...if you want your stock struts to last long. I have the Sprint and Tokico setup in my car and it's a nice ride...it's stiff, but handles well. Next week I'll take you for a boot so you can see what they ride like...compared to a stock set-up. Save up for some aftermarket struts if you can...

take care,

G
