Would Maxima benefit from 98 octane?

Would power and torque increase compared
to, say, Shell "VPower " (91 octane)?

I remember seeing 98 octane in Europe, but not in the US.
I wonder why.

its rated different in other countries. example New Zealand 98 octane = USA 92-93 octane. run some good 93 octane and the vq will perform great ! but take it easy on the pedal !

anything that high will not significantly alter performance. 93 should be sufficient

unless you have some sort of F/I, anything higher than 91/93 won't make a difference.

Also, the anti-knock sensors and electronics will prevent any damage if you use a lower grade. For general driving around you will never see the differnce except that your wallet might get a little fatter on the lower grade gas. If you would be on an extended `interstate' trip, make the last fill before you fill to leave the `good stuff'.
