Introducing ActiveTuning!

Some of you guys may know us already, but as of today, we are officially a sponsor of Maxima.org! For those who do not know us, my company is ActiveTuning (http://www.activetuning.com) and we specialize in manufacturing aftermarket parts for Nissan vehicles. We are a small 2-person company based out of WI and VA. You can read more about us and the history of how we started, etc here:

http://www.activetuning.com/company

We are huge Nissan fanatics as I have had a 94 Altima, 2003 Altima 3.5 SE, and currenlty drive an APS Twin Turbo 350Z. My business partner Mike (who you will see on here as Altimat) has a 96 Maxima, 02 Altima 3.5 SE, 04 Titan 4WD, and just recently sold a 300ZX.

Since we are small, we don't have a ton of products yet, but as time goes by, we continually add more and more. We pride ourselves in the best quality parts while offering unmatched customer service.

A little background on the current parts we offer for you Maxima owners (all of which you can find here: http://www.activetuning.com/products/map/nissan/maxima):

We offer custom grounding kits for the 95-01 and 04-05's. These are custom-fit to specifically fit each vehicle. We hope to offer a kit to the 02-03 in the near future, as well as some of the older cars. We are offering a group buy currently on the 6th gen grounding kit, you can find the details here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=432580

We offer a tranny-mounted short throw shifter for the 6th gens called the STS2. This is a gorgeous piece, laser engraved with the ActiveTuning logo while reducing throw by around 37%.

We also offer custom adjustable rear shocks and custom adjustable front struts. We have basically modified the Koni Sport front struts to fit the Maxima, as well as the KYB AGX. If you're looking to upgrade your suspension, this is the ultimate setup. There's quite a few of Maxima's with these installed, and ton of Altima's, with nothing but the greatest reviews about how great this setup is.

Last but not least, we recently released our S4 grille for the 6th gens. Because of the new release, we are offering an intro price as well as a nice discount on painting in order to get some of these on your guys cars.

We plan on developing more products in the future (like a new grille we're working on due to popular demand). We'll keep you updated with anything on our boat.

If you guys have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

Regards,
Dave - ActiveTuning Partner & Head of Marketing & Sales

Lol, it stands for "Dave@ActiveTuning" but it was too many characters.

By the way, you'll see me around on the Titan/Armada forums, My350Z, NissanClub, and many others

good to see someone in VA I just looked at your site and maybe I am missing something but do you have anything other than a grounding kit for a fourth gen?

If you see an orange 350Z with gold wheels, big front mount, and a bodykit that is like an inch from the ground, make sure to wave

Unfortunately that is all we offer. Our company started because my business partner and I both had 3.5 Altima's. So naturally we targetted the Altima when we first started, and they obviously now have the biggest offering of products. In the future I hope we can develop more products for more Nissan's.

If anybody has any suggestions for parts that a lot of people have been requesting, but there are no offerings, please by all means let us know so we can consider it.

I am based out of my house since the majority of what I do just requires a computer. Most of our manufacturing is done with Mike over in WI. BUT, I do make the grounding kits here, and ship the short-shifters from here. So if you wanted a grounding kit or short-shifter, those would be available for pickup.

I am located more specifically in the Fairfax/Centreville area.

Subframe Connectors
Ahhh...is there really that many 4th gens that would want subframe connectors? Obviously any product that we look into making has to have a market for it and be a smart thing to make from a business perspective.

You guys would be best lol. If there's an obvious demand and you check the forums a lot, I'm sure you would know. But if you're the only one requesting, and nobody has requested in the past, I'd say the demand was low.

You could always get something custom done at a shop?

Without reading through the entire thread, it looks like they already have these out for the 4th gens...? On top of that, their price is very good IMO. So why us come out with another set?

Dave,
Pretty sure I've seen your Z around the area. I live in Burke and am often in the Fairfax/Chantilly/C'ville area. There are several of us around Fairfax with 5th gens, so if you ever need a test car....hit us up.

By the way, with regard to the SFCs...there are several local 5th gens that have been calling around to see about getting some made locally (perhaps at Piper Motorsports in Manassas), but nothing has happened yet. With me, Puppetmaster, Soonerfan, Dblrr900, and other 5th gens just a few miles from you - if you end up working on a project like this, several of us would love to be involved (that, and i think there is a good market for them here on the org - at least for the 5th gen).

In any case, keep an eye open for us, and be sure to hook up with us at some point in time! I'm sure we can think of some new product ideas for you (I have a couple)

Me - black 2000 with 02-03 HIDs and G35 18" wheels, drop, etc etc
Joel - blue 2002 dropped with clear corners and cattman muffler
Jason - black 2002 dropped with smoked side markers and dark tint
Rob - silver 02 looking stock at the moment except FC muffler

this is me, usually with the rack on the car when not autocrossing:

Awesome, I'll definitely be on the lookout. Regarding test cars, 95% of our manfacturing is done with my business partner over in Wisconsin, and I handle most of the business side over here. So unfortunately most of the times we need a test car in the WI area.
