its an insurance job, nobody in NYC steals a car doesnt take rims and taillights, and door panels..

but yet they take off the maxima emblems... i could understand they used the rims to roll it out, but the fogs too? come on

then again here in NY we have a bunch of looney bins that probably just took the car for a joy ride after they got what they wanted

ppl over here steal cars for bolts and washers..im not joking

Feel sorry for the owner, a bunch of guys decided to steal a car and take it on a joyride. After that they decided to make a joy-fire

Where exactly is it located?

it's probably going to be totaled as a loss anywayz (depending on damage assessment) might as well put the VI to good use.

That's what I was thinking. The car doesn't look like it was stripped by pros.

Holy crap are you serious? You don't have to show proof of the car being registered in YOUR name or anything? wtf

OK, but the chip in the key still has to be programmed to start the car.

I think they burned it just to burn all their evidence, like finger prints.
Hmmm but they messed with the engine too...I guess they hoped the car would blow up with all their evidence when they lit it up, but it didn't.

Looks like they did all that for those HID's. Stealing 5.5gen HID's is so last year, those losers.

But on a more serious note, that sucks for the owner, but insurance should cover it all.

They took the intake/hids/clear corners/grill = kiddie job. Sucks though. The burn was just to show the owner that they are idiots.
