Sub-frame-connector setup

In the production SFC previously sold, was there any pre-load or pre-tension? From what I remember, you drive a car up on a rack and the bars are welded on. So no preload. Wouldn't there be some slack, leading to vibration and stress fracture?

Also, if the idea of SFC is chassis rigidity, would it be ideal to incorportate some kinda adjusting mechanism to allow for preloading? Would diagonal preload be best? Thereby causing the frame to "box up"?

Your logic is backwards.

Having the bars preloaded will ALWAYS put stress on the unibody, causing warpage, bad alignment, and possible stress fracture of the weld areas.
