Painting Valve Covers and Intake Manifold.
Painting Valve Covers and Intake Manifold.
Anyone ever done this?
I bought some low-gloss black for my valve cover and was thinking of doing the manifold also. It is the high temp engine paint, if it holds on V8 blocks, which produce more height than a V6 intake manifold or valve cover, it should hold up fine. I just wanted to find out if anyone has done this? and how long it has held up.
Thanks.

I've seen several, but none has held up all that long. I'm not sure about the 4th gen, but the 5th gen valve covers are aluminum so the paint doesn't stick too well. You may want to look into polishing them instead.
