they front end and the rear bumper gives it more of a sporty look. Looks like the HP numbers will bump up too to get that edge over the avalon/300c hemi. Should be interesting. Good job Nissan

You know.....the styling of the 6th gen isin't the issue ( though I like the 2007 update )

Its what's under the hood that counts. If its enough to smoke a 300C v8 ,'nuff said.

Yeah, if they're trying to get the edge over the 300C.... ****... whats the avalon have, somethin like 280 horse 3.5? but if its gonna have more power than the hemi C - 335 hp/ 345? tq... unless they mean "faster" in the sense of more power, cause ive heard the C is a boat, and only available in auto.
SL is the lux and should be 3.5VQ bumped to 275 hp 5 speed auto
SE should be vq35 standard bumped to 290 hp with optional vq40 5AT or 6M

They said the same thing about your 5th gen when it was first introduced calling it a boat. Naw that i think of it the last "true" sporty maxima was the 3rd gen.

rear reminds me of Pontiac for some reason. probably that black plastic ground effect thing surrounding the exhaust tips.

I wonder..if they mean power bump by putting a "lightly" modded version of the VQ-35,instead making a 300+ SE 6 sp, with the SL making 290.

It would nicely split the difference between the 300C and the Avalon...

Isn't it great how Nismo makes things for our car like the Altima? With the Altima you can get it over 300hp right out of the factory! Wow and same with the Sentra and the 350..Oh wait I think they forgot about the Maxima... I guess because they see it as a sporty family car..Either way that's pretty lame...At least you can put Nismo floor mats!!! How cool is that? Even with the 2k7 Maxi they still decided not to get Nismo involved...Ehh..Hey Nissan I hate you..

how much market do you really think there is for Nismo in the Max? it's market to the upscale sedan genre. These are mostly people who buy a car to get from A-B. they're not really interested in mods and such. yeah, it's unfortunate, but what do you expect?

I don't like the way Nissan is designing their cars...Infiniti on the other hand is doing a great job with their design...

Oh wow compare that to the Altima!!!

Since when is the Maxima an upscale car?! It's a freaking family car! Even if it is a car that gets people from A to B they still should offer crap for it..Look at the Sentra, that's an economy car..The only real sports car Nissan has is the 350Z..The Altima can also be seen as a family "sports" sedan, the only difference is that it has a higher popularity right now since so many critics raved about its redesign..Hence why the Maxima is slowly but surely dying...Thanks Nissan you're the bestest!!! Btw I remember how the 20th anniver... Ed... of the Maxima got the skirts and the extra 5 hp..What did they do for the 350Z?! They did so much more...I bet they're going to do something special for the Alti soon too..They might even do it for the Sentra before they get rid of it..Either way Nissan sucks for what they are doing to the Maxima..

Btw the Nissan Fuga aka M45 is an awesome car! I love the ignition button, it even moves the seat and steering wheel..You can even watch tv in it! =0 The wheels are so sexay..I was going to buy them while in Japan for my maxi but they wanted 2500 for just the 19 inch rims..

Maybe it's got a new engine and a new front end like when the 5.5 gens came out compared to the 5.0 gens.

What does that have to do with anything? I was simply proving that they DO make Nismo parts for the Maxima, just nothing until the 6th gen.
