why do so many of you guys think burnouts are so cool?

There is no explanation....

they are just too cool!!! when you hear the squealing tires and see all the smoke you just can't help yourself, its even better when there is so much smoke you can't see the car and then the car comes shooting out of the smoke as they drop the hammer....its just in some of our blood(and I guess increased testosterone levels help out too)!

i dont see its coolness on my car, but on another car its cool. i dont plan on fryin my tranny and balding my tires. guess its different for different people.. but on rental cars...

I think burning out is bad. I never would do that to my car.

am i seeing things?

hey DA-MAX, in that second viper pic, is he burnin out the FRONT tires? is that an AWD viper? or is it just the smoke thats comin from the rear wheels that makes it look like that? i have never heard of an AWD viper before

Yeah....

it sure does look like that, but I highly doubt its an AWD Viper! I'm pretty sure its just all the smoke coming from the rear tires though.

I usually do burnouts when I'm at the track to heat up the tires. The drag tires stick better when you heat them up. But on the street NEVER!!! No burnouts for me.. especially with my expensive Z-rated tires. I need all the tread I can save! lol

maybe if you do reverse burnouts you will get some tread back?
