Does a 97 bumper fit in a 4th gen?

I have to get a 1997 bumper shipped to buffalo and I have to drive it back to canada, I was wondering if a 1997 front bumper fits in either the trunk or in the cabin of a 1996 maxima?

Doubt it would fit in the trunk as it's as wide as the exterior of the car. Dunno about the cabin though.

The only way I see it fitting in the car AT ALL is if you were to put the passenger's seat as far flat as it could go, and lay the bumper long-ways into the back seat.

yeah it fits, one side in the passenger foot rest area, and the other on the back seat.

most likely....stick it through the rear doors and put half up front on the passenger seat and then the other half on the rear seat

Are you talking about a bumper cover or a bumber support (the inside metal brace and styrofoam)? If you're talking about the bumper support it will NOT fit inside a 96 bumper cover because they are smaller (i.e. less safe). It's the main reason 95-96's weigh less than 97-99, smaller bumpers and door beams.

I fit one in my car once, I think I draped it over the passenger seat. Dude gave me an extra bumper when I bought my beater maxima.

yeah. no sense in getting it chipped up and having to redo the primer cuz you drove home with it. it should fit if you fold down the passenger seat and lie it across there and the rear.

This method worked for a front bumper I purchased. I believe that they are about the same in length so this technique should work.

Or take out your back seats an let it go from the passenger seat to the back of the trunk, that will fit.
