I think they're about the best stock rims out and I think they're AVUS??. Does anyone know how I could find out how easy it would be to mount them on my ride?

You can't, they are a different lug pattern/size. We have 5x114.3 and I believe the S4's have 5x110. You would need to have a universal adaptor if you really really wanted to, but I wouldn't recommend it.

That's what I was afraid of. I just wasn't sure and the Audi dealers that I called weren't too helpful. Thanks for your help

There are other factory 17's you can run that are just as wide, if not wider. Ford Mustang GT rims from 96+ are 17x8 and fit perfect. Nissan and Infiniti's factory 17s fit perfect but are only 17x7.

yeah, I know about the mustang ones and don't like them. I used to drive a stang. I really like the Q45 rims but I can't find them. I'm trying to decide whether to go aftermarket or what. so many thoughts. I'm decision impaired

Personally, I like these painted ones on the 3rd gens, sans the stupid pony on the cap.

Jeff, ante up and get some Nissan caps off an 89 to 91 SE!

I don't like those S4 rims... All the s4 owners I have met who are into modding swap their rims off.

Bart Gadlage and I have spoken a few years back. He was very upfront and informative. I was about 80% sure the swap would work okay but since his was the first(many, many years ago) he was kind enough to confirm my theory w/ actual application.

If you really like the S4 style, AT Italia makes a rim called the S5 (check out tire rack) that should fit your car. They look pretty much exactly like the S4 rims except they are 5 spoke instead of 6. Largest size they come in is 17 in.
