I need some advise on what to look for when purchasing a 5spd transmission from a salvage yard. I found a transmission at a local yard and I am very keen to pick it up however a bit skeptical on dropping the money not knowing the exact condition of the part. I know I am given a 91 day warranty, a bit weird but I will take the extra day. I do not know the mileage but it is off a 2k max. Any concerns or issues that I should look for if at all possible before purchasing it. Note the trans is still on the car.

well, the only thing you can do is make sure it goes into every gear. Short of opening it up, you can't do much else.

And by the way, i'll install your tranny for you if you want.
