It appears that one of Stillen's competitors may be looking at developing a centrifugal supercharger for 4th Gen Maximas based on a Swiss design. Being a curious sort of fellow, I jumped up on the web and started looking around for Swiss supercharger manufacturers. Look what I came up with:

The Maxima kit, once developed, would not bear Z-Engineering's name (assuming Z-Engineering is indeed the manufacturer of the supercharger) any more than the Stillen's supercharger bears the Vortech name. Interestingly, if you go up to the Vortech site, you won't find an application for Nissans either. Check out:

So who did you hear is the company that will market it? JWT?

 

I'd rather the individual who mentioned it disclose himself when he's ready to do so. But let me just say that my information comes from a very reputable source.

I hope its Cattman, hes makes high quality stuff, even if it was the same price as the Stillen kit Id rather buy from him.

Perhaps YOU would pay the same price as you would for the Stillen piece, but I'm sure I would prefer to pay far less. If we can get a reliable SC, at a lower price, from a reputable, customer-driven source, so much the better. :-)

 

Its all about function tho.
i'm sure people would pay more if the new kit was
1) more reliable.
2) company has better PR than the clowns at $tillen
3) possible more power than the Vortech blower..
4) does it RIGHT, the first time... no melting pulleys hopefully..

It's not a rumor, Nick. Whether it becomes a reality remains to be seen. But discussions are underway.

 

I think they should make an optional intercooler.

 

Whats this about reliability?? Im more worried about tranny than i am SC.. bahahahah
