CustomEnterprise Short Throw Shifter

I was looking into getting a car, and noticed one or two individuals had a CustomEnterprise short throw shifter for their maxima.

I understand bare minimal about the short shifters. All I know is that if you get a cheap one, you can screw up the transmission real bad.

I saw the maxima.org review on it, but in a side-note it did mention that if you set it up wrong you can do some damage.

Can anyone provide their own thoughts on it? Can't figure out if it is a good one or not.

I definitely don't want to get a max with a messed up trans.

I have a B&M STS and I just recently been not liking it too much, feels like I have to force it into gear but it feels just crunchy I guess. Don't know if anyone has this experience but from what I heard that others have done was just cut their stock sts, and they have said that it's very smooth into gear...

by cutting it though, doesn't it add too much pressure to the trans?

A friend at work mentioned that people think that just by cutting their shifter, they can get a short shifter, but in reality it screws things up b/c they would be banging it whenever they change gears, also i geuss there are some arms the shifter sits on that gets screwed up as well b/c they no longer fit perfectly with the shifter.

We have not had any cases where our short throw shifter has caused any damaged to the Max's tranny. Mahmoodu if you want to give me a call I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our product.

I appreciate it Nick.

I am trying to get feedback from people who have used your product. That is the best way that I can think of that I can get a honest review. Not saying what you are saying is wrong, but just want to confirm what you are saying.

Does CustomEnterprise have a discussion board on their products? If so, can you provide me the link?
