How much do you think a '98 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 5-spd would cost in Toronto?

 

300zx TT 5spd, under 60k clicks, you find I buy (assuming it's nowhere near Alta Nissan's crackhead $50k prices)..

If you're dealing with a dealership, don't worry about it, I thought about how wierd it would be to have mad hookups with private sales. I've seen the local toronto dealership prices for 300zx's.

 

Hehe ... Yeah I'm Dealing with DEALERSHIPS ... I know a Few SALES Managers for a few different Ones.

But don't forget ... those "INSANE" 300ZX prices are because of the MARK UP ... I might be able to get you one With a Lot LESS Mark Up! hehe

 

Alta Nissan charges $45,000-120,000 on average. That's a lot for a car that I saw booked for $13,000-$19,000US. I'm thinking $20,000-$30,000 but I don't know if a dealership would go that low. I've seen private sales do that, but there's always something wrong with them. Auto, lotta km's, etc.

 

$40K to $120K for a 300ZX??? Are you kidding me???

HOLY CRAP! Why not just buy the car from the States? Sure it would cost quite a bit to import it to Canada but it would still be cheaper than $40K CDN.

Literally .. 92k for a 300zx, you could buy an NSX for that.

That 92K 300ZX is the SMZ model. Isn't that some special Stillen modified 300ZX?

 

yup .. that thing has won a whole heap of awards ... u can see some pix on Avalon's site as well ... I think he may have worked on it ....

 

A car's a car, I didn't think modding it and then tacking on an extra $50,000 for it was very common. I mean, I've got a system in my car, as well as the body kit, intake, exhaust, etc. If anything, I'd be better stripping them off the car before I sell it. Alta has several $60-70k ones that aren't the SMZ. Cracksmoker dealerships are unfair to some (ie, me)

 

yeah . the only reason it's so bloody expensive is that the used car manager .. Hunter ... is a money grabbing, doesn't know how 2 return phone calls kinda salesman ... the 1 that u never want 2 deal with ... his terrible reputation precedes him ....

 

I don't know if all this is true about Hunter. He did take the time to let me test the super charged 2000 SE they have and later went to test my AE Maxima (I believed it was missing some torque -which it was!!-). I was considering getting a super charger for my AE. He quoted me $11,000.00 (ball park). He did mention that I could get it cheaper else where but he would do it right. I called Stillen directly and they quoted me a bit less then $5,000.00 for the V2 blower and about $1,000,00 for the install (all prices have already been converted to Cdn). They stated it would take 12 hours for the job. Hunter needs 20 hours ("ball park"). A few weeks ago he said he would e-mail me a formal quote. I'm still waiting. I was not entirely happy with the service that Alta Nissan provided (for more info: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=42869). I'm also still waiting for Hunter's call regarding my cars performance.

 

bramirez .. i & a whole bunch of us maxima enthusiasts r still waiting 4 the stillen price list he said he'd make up for us in October ... he is terrible @ getting back 2 e-mails & voice calls ... actually .. everyone @ alta is ... $5000 is high ... avalon has it for high $3's ... & I'm sure Phuong, Greg or others on the board can get it 4 u @ a much more competitive price ... try not 2 get n e thing directly from Stillen ... it's a lot more ...

MAX Meets! Yeah ... I got 2 going last year ... one of them was @ Alta .... see the pix on my site ...

Dave from CanMax & Nathan from TorMax also got one going this year ... good turnout from what I heard ... I was supposed 2 get one going 4 July but i think I'm 2 busy ... I'm hoping Nathan can set it up .. I'll just attend!

mods 2 do first? depends on what u want .. u want 2 look pretty? get the body kit or some clears ... & drop the car with new springs & struts

u want handling .. get the fstb & rsb

u want speed? get the supercharger! or if u r funds limited like me .. Stillen intake ...

y-pipe is next ... maybe hks exhaust ...

so much 2 do ... so little time ... even less $$$

So he's the 300zx hoarder I've seen on autotrader.ca .. He's got 2-3 300zx's listed there, as "private". I saw em and was like "how is a guy selling multiple 300zx's private, at $40,000 a pop".. Guess it's the same hunter from Alta heh.

Anyone have any other recommendations where to look? I'm being steered more and more into private sales, but if I go a different route I don't know if I want that. Other routes: RX-7, or Supra. RX-7's are a mess if they ain't in perfect condition, or if you don't know a good mechanic =/ .. and Supras, well, they seem like the 300zx, some bugger trying to make $20k off each sale.

 

are they messed up on that molson beer? maybe its the labatt. anywho, i once saw a 1996 300zx tt with a couple hundred(not a couple hundred thousand, just a couple hundred) on ebay going for about $25k. that car was literally brand new, i dont know where alta nissan gets off trying to sell a used z with approx 30k km for $92,000 cdn, couldn't you get like 3 brand new max's for that price? just thought i'd throw that in. btw, where is alta nissan, i used to live in toronto(ghetto jane and finch area), now i live in oklahoma(i know, i know, wtf? oklahoma?) just wondering where this place is.
