In this months SCC in their "Suck, squish, bang, blow" section there is this brief sentence:

"Having driven two vehicles with these turbos (the ceramic-turbine-equipped R32 Skyline and a Maxima equipped with a Japanese-market Cima turbo..."

Does anyone know anything about that Maxima? Is it JWT's? Is it a 4th gen?

Just curious.

Gloria, isn't that a 80s song (Laura Branigan)? the dash looks caddy retro, & that grill looks WAAAY MEAN.

1957 Skyline, wonder if that's their classic, like our '57 Chevy Bel Air. Gran Turismo 2 has a '71; wasn't 1990 the 1st AWD Skyline?

I know what car it's from...

but the article stated the writer has driven a MAXIMA with this turbo on it, and I was curious if anyone knew which car this was. JWT has a turbocharged Maxima...is it that car that SCC was refering to? Or did JWT use an aftermarket turbo? Maybe I'll have to write SCC to find out whoevers Maxima with a Cima turbo they have driven.

there was an article about a maxima with a JWT custom turbo kit, it was a 5th gen and was lowered stuff. it was slow though, bad clutch and fuel deprivation.
