MAF Sensor Power Mod revisited!!
#1
A while ago on the forum there was a thread going about removing the screen from the MAF sensor in order to increase airflow for more power.
Well, I did this mod quite a long time ago, and can conclusively say that it really was worthless! I put a short writeup on my site to dispel the myths about this mod.

BTW, if anyone wants to try this without ruining your MAF sensor, I have one for sale with the screen already removed. This part new from a dealer is a ludicrous $488 bucks!!

I pulled mine out August last year...have put 50k+ miles on it w/out it in there and have noticed no ill effects. I do notice that it "growls" more past 3k, and I'd like to say it breathes better, but have no way to really determine if that's the case. My 2c.
