Gas Pills / Performance Pills

Hey, my friend has some pills that are supposed to improve gas mileage by making gas combust at lower temperatures? I forget the science involved but just wanted everyone's take on this phenomenon.

Bio performance is the name of the product.

Looks like ...

Even if they did help, I'm guessing you need to buy them and that would negate any cost benefit.

Those links sum it up nicely. How can you save money by spending $75 on a bottle of pills? Snake oil in a pill form.

Does he have any proof that they work?

What a downer...i thought this was a discussion about viagra or cialis.

Looks like the pills are as useful as one of those Tornado posted above.

Here's a pill that eliminates gas completely.

http://www.beanogas.com/

"Take Beano before and there'll be no gas."

You need your fuel to resist igniting at lower temps. That's why Nissan recommends the high octane fuel: to resist premature combustion of the fuel due to pressure-generated heat in the chamber.

Those pills sound like a good way to kill an engine.

Pee in your gas tank maybe?

Works just as well and your bathroom stays clean!

Yup. If you want the same effect, you can just buy lower octane gas. Money saved, better gas mileage!

To a certain extent. If you get the right temp for gas for your car you can easily see a couple of mpgs and more power. There are fuel line heaters sold that do that and they work but the downside is they mess up your start up. Bad design.
