with the same mods, are autos or 5spds louder?

im just curious, but mod for mod, would one be louder than the other? for some reason, my 92 auto legend with the exact same performance mods that i have on my max now, was a lot lot louder, maybe 2x's louder. and my sisters auto V6 accord with a full tanabe exhaust is freakin loud, can be heard a few blocks away. i want my max to be louder, much louder. so far im planning on a y-pipe and a straight pipe with what i have now, what else would make it louder, different muffler maybe? thanks

ok...
1. transmissions don't make noise. At idle either car will sound the same.
2. Since 5 speeds run at slightly higher RPM's to maintain the same speed as an auto, the 5sp will be slightly louder. For example, if a 5sp in 5th gear at 70mph is turning 2500 RPMs, then an auto in 4th gear at 70mph will be turning, say 2200 RPMs (these numbers are hypothetical)... thus the auto will be a little quieter.
The ONLY thing that would make one or the other louder is different engine RPMs at a given speed.
NOW, if you run both cars at 2000 RPM in top gear (the auto will be going faster), they will sound IDENTICAL!
make sense?

One more question
Do 5spd have that dreaded droning noise while cruising between 1.5K - 2.3K cause I know for sure autos do especially with a straight thru muffler. It seems as if those who are complaing about loud/droning exhaust are auto guys.
