anyone here done any thing to their motors cept for strapping on a supercharger?

I am thinking of doing a port-polish head job. and also fitting in larger injectors. might even consider doing cams in the process.

but don't know approx how much it'd cost me (want to find out just in case the local speed shop take me for a "ride"), what size and type of injectors to use,

any thoughts and opinions is greatly appreciated.

thank you and best regards

for a port/polishing job. but i'd like to know let me know how much you get priced for. as for the injectors a few people put injectors from a Z32, 300ZX TT, those gotta be some hi flow injectors compared to ours and you probly could get 'em at a junkyard.

A port & polish would be good. The cam might be good, too. I don't know how much it "should" cost. If the shop doesn't do a good job... whew. Keep checking the grapevine.

I'm not sure about larger injectors helping anything. Your ECU will adjust the pulse width to maintain the appropriate fuel/air ratio, no matter how large the injectors, right? I think you'd need a re-programmed ECU to take advantage of larger injectors, not to mention other mods that would put the extra fuel to good use, like a S/C, turbo, or nitrous system.

Other mods would include an underdrive pulley, extrude honed intake manifold, polished throttle-body, engine oil cooler, Redline Water Wetter for the radiator, blah blah blah blah blah. Good luck.

Redline Brand Water Wetter is a fluid you add to your radiator that allows your system to dissipate heat faster than with regular anti-freeze. It is supposed to lower your coolant temperature by 20-30 degrees F. For best results, you use it with straight water in your system, but you can also just add it to your system without swapping-out your current coolant mix. Redline has a website. You might want to check'em out. They carry other interesting stuff, too...
