Genisys 2.0 Scan Tool

Does anyone have any experience with this piece of equiptment? My dad just got one for his shop and I was wondering if I could use it to advance my timing like I've heard you can get the dealer to do. I've been playing around with it for about a week and it seems like a nifty little tool. Just wanting to know if anyone has used it before and if there is anything special I can do with it.

Don't know anything about that particular model, but if you are interested in advancing your timing, there's a group deal going on right now for software that can.

info on the scan tool I am referring to can be found at the link below. it was about $5000 for the system so I am thinking it should work. this is not a crapy partsstore code reader...

The Genisys 2 scan tool is about $1800, and it will not allow you to reset your timing..................

actually it came in a kit with every cable you need to do all computer controlled car back to 1988 and up to 2005 I believe, the gas module, the scope and some other misc. things, not just the unit itself.
