What's the longest your Maxima has been out of commission for?

What's the longest your Maxima has been out of commission for?
Let me start from the beginning. I was having alignment problems with the K-sports, so I decided to upgrade to Energy Suspension poly bushings. I bought the motor mounts, subframe bushings, sway bar bushings, and endlink grommets, and the control arm bushings. When Suspension Restoration sent me the order, I was told that the control arm bushings were out of stock, and that they would be shipped as soon as they got them in.
From today, that was about 7 weeks ago, and I must admit, I can't wait to get it back together. After about 4 weeks, I found them for sale on E-bay, and thought that they would be an item that the seller actually had. I bought that and cancelled the first order, but after two weeks, the seller had not returned any of my four e-mails, or phone calls.
So, on Monday I called Suspension Restoration again, and they had just gotten in the shipment that I was waiting for. It is in the mail now, but won't be here until next Tues or Wed. In the wait, I have bought new control arms, tie-rods, sway bar end-links, and I am pretty sure that I will end up needing a new power steering rack (boot torn, and all the grease sprayed everywhere).Power steering also leaking from hose, which I also have a replacement for. Whole new front end
So I am just wondering, what's the longest you have had your daily driver out of use for? I have been riding my motorcycle every day, and total time out will be a little over 8 weeks by next weekend when I have time to do this.

That sux man, hope evrything comes together for you. The longest Ive gone while my max was under the knife was a little over 2 weeks, after some woman destroyed my front end. Insurance said my car was totalled but my dad is good friends with a great bodyshop, (they do the local sports stars repairs, Tom Brady and others), luckily we got the guy to fix it. That rebuild combined with another time a plow raped my whole passenger side and I got that fixed, makes most panels and all lights only 2 years old on an 11 year old car The longest ive gone without driving it has been close to five months cuz right now im in france for the semester. Cant wait to get back and get all the toys Ive been wanting. Good luck with your max.

About 6-7 months when I was getting my V1 SuperCharger Plate Project drawn up and made. Once the first Plate was made, I need to put it on and test it. After testing the new plate needed to come off and back to my CNC machinest for more drawings. 6 Months later, I had my car back

5 months: from November 30 last year to 3 days ago. I garage it every winter and this year I was slow getting it started because I had the valve cover off to polish it and it took a while.
And yep, my VQ also started right up, refreshed after a nice long nap.

I'm working on about 11 months right now...
Last June at the Maxus track event, I blew the engine..
I finally got it pulled out today.. hopefully the new one will be done on Monday and I can start reassembling it when it gets here.

Mine was out of commission for about 2 days when I had my 5 spd trans swapped out. It had been leaking gear oil for months but the differential bearings finally went caput the day that I had an appt. to get the trans. swapped and the new one was sitting in the trunk. It got me to the shop but just barely. When the alty went out it made it to the shop too but just barely. Never been left on the road.

About a month to a month and a half when I FIRST bought my car. The tranny failed almost immediately, and so it was up to the dealer I bought the car from to fix it. My car ended up with it's fifth tranny since I've had the car (the trannies the wholesaler got were all shoddy), and I was finally able to start driving my maxima daily. Until that point, I was stuck driving my family's 4cyl 97 Toyota 4Runner 5spd. You could say that I wanted my Maxima slighty...

3 months -- after smashing my auto tranny and front-left strut on a rock while trying to impress a girl. It took me that long to get the parts together for my 5-speed swap.
It was the most glorious 3 months of my car's existence.

1 1/2 months short of 2 years... ya that's right 2 years. Got the bright idea to make a custom body kit for the car and it took a while as there was a huge learning curve. Of course since it was in the shop I did just about everything else possible while it was there. eManage, FMIC, custom tranny, 3" headers with a electronic cut-off...too much to list. But car looks good.

I'm going on 7 months now, from hitting the right rear wheel against a curb at 35 MPH. In the process now, of replacing the busted strut & spindle assembly, both lower control arms, that are bent beyond belief, & the shaft on the rear crossmemember that is bent. So ya....................it sucks.
