An Anti-gas thread ........
Is it my informed imagination , or are gas prices lately determined more on the basis of politics than actual supply and demand?
'Cause by my logic, we had the same acess to fuel last year as we did this year. So by that logic, there should not be a substantial increase in $. But it seems like if the Iranian imam filips the bird on Al-Jazzera , our prices go up and STAY UP, whereas if there's a real disruption ( a la Katrina) prices eventually calm down.
So,am I just crazy, or does some 80 year old cleric 10,000 miles away have more impact on our pump prices than a Category 4 Hurricane?
(Keep in mind , Im just bellyaching about gas prices. The day we pay 5 bucks a liter for gas is the day to start b!tchin. Im just trying to understand why we pay more for the same available quantity of fuel, that's all)
