i'd go with #3

I'd pimp out my ride (VQ35DE engine swap, plus turbocharger and 6-spd manual tranny, repaint, etc.)

I'd buy a Nismo Z-Tune Skyline GT-R (dream car), a 350Z Touring coupe (with Full NISMO package), a BMW M3 coupe (Sports Package), an Infiniti FX45, a NISMO Frontier, and a Hayabusa. :-)

Buy Lithuania, build a factory, and start a production run of the 4th gen maxima, with VH45's and RWD. And would probably drive my car off a dam, and parachute out. Then grab a couple of my "new" maximas and be happy.

ide sell my maxima, buy either and A4 or IS300 and do a retarded amount of work to it such as possibly a engine swap, lighter tranny that works with the engine, turbo, aluminum radiator(cools engine better), intake, exhaust, chip, rims, lower(if its was the a4), possibly body kit if it didnt look ricey, and for the IS300 ide make it all wheel drive if thats possible(i dont think they have them?), also a sick sound system(yes i know theres no such thing as a fast car with a sick sound system. but whatever)

i wouldnt go for a porsche or ferrari or any rediculously expensive car. coming from a rich town where brand new mercedes and bmw's are all over the place, ide fit right it...but ide feel like a dueshbag like 90% of my town is. plus i dont want a car thats going to sit in a garage for 70% of the time and cost me a million dollars on insurance.

Quote: I would keep my car because I love it. I would put as many performance mods on it as possible to the point of keeping it as a streetable NA car, repaint it, put on a body kit, get new rims, projector retrofit, LED tails, etc.

Then I would buy a Chrysler 300 SRT8, 350Z, and the older style Bentley - the one that Limp Bizkit had in one his videos. I don't remember which on it was.
hell ya, i know what bentley ur talkin about, limp bizkit rocks

NUMBER 2: Keep the car and turn it into my dream ride.

-- GTR V-Spec Skyline Atessa AWD drivetrain

-- Suspension / Dampers / Brakes / Exhaust / ECU / Fuel System / Ignition System / Cams / Head / Crank / Internals / Transmission / Intake all fully upgraded

-- Custom heat flare and enlarge my wheel arches to accommodate larger rims and tyres

-- Put in some Simmons 19 x 9 3-piece lightweight alloy racing rims with 265 / 40 ZR19 ultra high performance tyres

-- Intercooled twin-screw supercharger (maybe 10lbs boost if the head can handle it)

-- VQ35DE swap

Too many other cosmetic things to bother boring you with.

MDeezy...Jack better be a resourceful man to come ALL the way down under to little old New Zealand and manage to steal my car. You know that everyone knows everyone else in New Zealand - it's just too small for Mr. Bower to get away with it. He'd get nabbed by my 51st cousin once removed who works as a cop in Wellington or something like that.

All the mods to make my dream car would probably cost $120K NZD ($80K USD) but it would still keep pace with most hi-po cars on the roads. And who wants to buy a supercar anyway? I'd rather have a car that was UNIQUE in every way - no other one like it the world. Sure, a Lamborghini Murcielago or Ferrari F430 CS would be great but there's probably a couple thousand other guys / gals with the same ride.

That's why we modify (well I do at least) our cars.

I agree PHAT6, I would like to have a super car, but truely I'd like to have something no one else has, I'd make that with the Max and various other cars I felt I would be happy with. You get an Enzo let say, your just #15 to have an Enzo. Customize a vehicle from the ground up, and you own the only one in the world.

And Jack Bauer could get it done, you must not have seen how he convinces people to help him in his quest to obtain his goals. By 3am the cars would be on a boat headed back to the US, and you'll still be asleep or up late enjoying a drink and a good company.

I would buy a 1970 Dodge Charger (451 HEMI) in Metalllic Candy Apple Red, a 1971 Aston Martin DB6 Mark 2 Vantage in AMG Metallic Brilliant Silver and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL 'Gull Wing' Coupe in original silver-white.

But they're more classis cruisers and they'd be too slow by today's standards...the GTR-Maxima would be performance ride. Maybe a 4.0litre crankshaft...
VQ40DDR...?

When life gave Jack Bauer lemons, he used them to kill terrorists. Jack Bauer ****ing hates lemonade.
Jack Bauers calender goes from March 31st to April 2nd, no one fools Jack Bauer.
Jack Bauer once forgot where he put his keys. He then spent the next half-hour torturing himself until he gave up the location of the keys.
If you wake up in the morning, it's because Jack Bauer spared your life.

well i cant make a new thread (stupid rules) but i got a question......

Is buying an 1998 GLE @ 129,890 miles a good idea?

Assuming
-been in no crashes
-no major mechanical problems
-proper maintenance has been taken

If i were to buy it,

i would get it checked out by a tech ( im somewhat of a noob )

If the tech says the car is in good shape should i still purchase? Or should i hold back and buy a car at lower mileage?

How long do maximas last??? if i take care of my car good (which i do)

(to stay on topic)
oh yea if i won the lotto i would definitly buy sevral maxima's cause my other one was crashed by some idiot who ran a red light.....

Miles mean nothing...A perfect example of a car that acts up with low mileage, camry's and lexus's......Those car sell for like 4gs, with 68k on the engine, but once they hit about 75-90k the engine blows...and there goes 1110 to your engine

Keep the 4th gen, get a toy or two... I think a brand new M3 and the Aston AM V8 would be in order, maybe a 1g (or 2g with 6bolt) DSM so I (tastefully) could mod the crap out of it.

Brand new 3.5 and brand new 5 or 6 speed w/B&M STS and Quaife into the Max, fab a bunch of stuff that would allow me to slap on a 350Z IM and add a full cattman exhaust (and an S/C after awhile). Replace all suspension components with brand new stuff and make it drive like... brand new. Basically restore everything back to perfect or better (i.e. bixenons and one-off projector retro'd fogs). You get the idea, I think I will always love my Max.

I'd buy so much stock in Nissan that I'd actually get some input on the design of all NEW maxes. Picture it. A 5th Generation body with MAXIMA written across the trunk like the early 4th generations (95-96).
