Who says cars are bad for the environment?(Pics)

I call BS on all those treehugers.

Today I was doing some general thinking about my next steps on the 240 while smoking a Romeo y Julieta. I was just kinda walking around the yard and shop thinking about stuff. Every time I passed the Max chassis a bird flew out from the engine bay. This happened four or five times and I got curious. I figured the screwballs were making a nest. I lifted the hood and to my suprise they were not making a nest. They'd been there and done that. They already got a full blown family in the works.

See, being an avid car freak doesn't make me a nature hater.

Excellent, now all you need is a couple of wasp nests hanging from the inside of the hood, and maybe a mouse hole under the subframe....

I think the main reason your car is not bad for the environment is due to its lack of engine.

Cool! Remionds of the time I had a strange "squeak" from my old Ford Pickup. Pulled over and found a nest in the rusted out cab corner. Nature makes due with whatever it finds.

I'm going to let them be. I hope I didn't scare the parents into abandoning them taking the pictures though. I'll post update pics when they hatch. LOL.

A write up for that mod would be awesome, maybe a mod can sticky it too (if it really makes those gains)!

Dammit, you beat me to it. You should have omeletted 'em up... although fertilized eggs ain't so great in the later stages... it would have definitely made for an ironic ending point.

For those of you from the upper midwest I can imagine that you know the result of the next after last night. It dropped down to the mid 30's last night with freezing rain. I took a quick glance through the rad support this morning on my way out the door. There were no adult birds in site. My guess is they're done for. :tear:

^^^ that's how those birds care about their children!!! "Lets's abandon the eggs, and go make more somewhere else."

I guess you're gonna have to take care of them from now on. When they'll grow up they'll serve you well!!!!

I bet they're still around; it didn't get below freezing and that engine bay is pretty sheltered from the elements.

I say it takes "forever" without mommy or daddy.
Are you actually adopting them, warming them up? You know in order to survive (for them to hatch) eggs need to be warm.
