In 2 months, my Maxima will be three years old. For it's third birthday, I am going to give her some nice presents. The presents will be:

1) fix the dent on the rear passanger quarter panel. Will require repainting.

2) Repaint the two front quarter panel, rock chip damage

3) Repaint the front bumper... it's really gross right now.

4) Get a carbon fiber hood... more than likely.

Yes I think she deserves it.

Oh, and then she will have Stongard applied to it. To protect her from further rock damange.

probably this coming weekend. I am hoping that the weather will be good. If it is, i will probably take the s2k to do some driving on some routes up there.

So Shing, 3 years and how many miles?

The way I look at it, the max is not perfect, but it really shines in longevity. Sure it has some rattles and such, but with maint. and proper up keep she really shines. So how long are you going to keep her?

No definately plan to get rid of it anytime soon. Right now she's got over 70k miles. I usually don't get rid of the car unless I have to.

I think longivity is true for most Japanese automible. Probably even true for most modern automobile. Sure some have more problems but in the long run, I suspect most cars can last atleast 150k miles. My dad's minivan is a 94 and has over 150k miles, probably closer to 170k now. Kinda cool.

These days the Maxima gets mostly highway duties to and from dallas. Going to work is usually handled by the CRX. The S2000 is just here and there. But it's still got 3600 miles in three months.

But I think once I fix the rear deck that's rattling on the Max, she should be fine for a while...

Man, you know more places than Shing and I do.. all I know is what is around my neck of the woods, and I KNOW you don't wanna drive all the way out here. You will have to ask the boss ( I like to let him think that, makes him feel better... )
