4th gen in fast n furious tokyo drift
So the chick decides she wants to see this. I say okay because I wanted to as well. We go and watch it. During one of the road chase scenes the road is filled with Mazda 626's and amongst them is a 4th gen beige Maxima. I'm not sure about the 626 but I kno the Maxima isnt a car available in japan. how fake. they may as well couldve jus loaded it with chevy impalas. oh yeah no jdm parts for that ride. Movie was so gay. plot was very corny. main chracter had weird irratating voice and they made it seem like vin diesel was comin back as a character. he was only in the last 30 seconds. I want a refund. but before people think im jus a hater i did like the first two movies

Local news radio interviewed a Riverside officer, officer said they had at least 2 patrol cars @ every theater on opening night.
Anyways, Riverside has nothing to worry about, Riverside's known for ****, not drifting.

I love how you guys act like you hate the movie. I mean it is hollywood. The movie is for entertainment purposes only. This not supposed to be some drift documentary. I am as anti-rice as they come, but i own both of the other movies and will be going to see this one. They are all cheesy, but if you enjoy cars then just sit back and enjoy the film.

So it's the mountain scene? I have this movie already so I can tell you for sure if you tell me the exact scene =) I saw this movie on Tuesday and I don't remember seeing a family car :P hehe Oh and even though the car isn't available there, I did see a white 3rd gen when I was there. The steering wheel was on the "normal" side and not the right side. It was stock though =0

I probably won't see the movie for a while, but were the Maximas in it RHD or LHD?
I know they had 3rd gen Maximas in Japan or at least in the Japanese Market (Asia, Australia, NZ) available in RHD. I don't know anything about 4th gens, though

The ONLY way I was dragged into this movie was by my other "car site" CarolinaNissans.com. We decided to make a meet out of it. We met for drinks beforehand so we would be good and "lively". There were literally 25 of us in there "critiquing" the movie. It was hilarious! As one guy said while leaving, "Alright now.. So I'm going to drift around this island in the parking lot and you guys move out of the way juuuust before I hit you..." Nice to have seen it- won't buy it.

Up until 2004, all Maximas are made in Japan.
However the Maxima is not sold in Japan. The A32 and A33 chassis are sold as a Cefiro and look closer to an I30.
Of course F&F is not accurate. Drifting is not new, cars don't have 9 gears, reverse doesn't go over 70mph, SCed auto Maximas don't run 9s with a stand alone fuel management system, and FWDs can't drift.

The maxima is based off the Japanese Cefiro. The Cefiro is sold here as the I30. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Maxima
And Bow Wow was on XM Radio the other day telling kids to, "go drift if you want to." The interviewer asked what drifting was, and Bow Wow's like, "it's sliding sideways, like with the e-brake and all that." With all the dummy's "ghost riding" their whip, I wouldn't be surprized to see some stupidness on the road

lol I once drifted my car unintentionally while making a sharp turn. I already saw some Hondas trying to drift their economy cars over the weekend in a target parking lot.........Oh and yes there was a Maxima wagon, I saw one with both a nissan and a datsun badge. I think the owner was confused.
