Ummm ok guys please don't think i'm really lame for asking about this, but with a Y pipe in my exhuast and no aftermarket muffler. I want something to make my car look a little better without and loud noise. Since I don't have the $$ to get the Apex ws which seems nice, are there any exhuast tips that I could maybe just attach to the end of my muffler that would look alright? give me any suggestions you guys have. I don't want something thats like more then maybe 3 and 1/2 inches cuz i just dont like how that looks.

IMO, when I see people with just an aftermarket tip on their stock muffler, it looks cheap (unless it was a stock tip). Why don't you get the stock 2K SE muffler. That one looks good. I'm thinking about doing that myself.

back to the original poster....not sure bout this but if u just get a big tip with ur stock muffler it's gonna sound like a "fart"....and beside u mite be considered rice by many here in the .org if u put a tip on a stock muffler...i got apex'i universal dunk muffler....it's quiet i tell ya...and to me it looks good too...

 

Here's a pic of my 3" stainless tip I picked up at Autozone for $20. I think the tip is the perfect size, not too big, not to small. BTW, my muffler has been painted black.

yea i'm kinda looking into a tip cuz the stock GXE tip is puny, but i dont want to spend the $$$ on apexi and i really like the stock sound.. cuz the VQ always sounds sweet =) how about getting one of those chrome things that you just put over the stock tip? i know it looks... hmmm not rice, but... like old person style... but i wana wait a bit... btw way which is quieter? HKS or apexi?

 

don't know bout any other muffler....but my apexi dunk sounds almost like stock but from 2k to 3k it has a low growl to it....
