Something all to real

A very close friend of mine asked that i post this, so it may just slow one person down. He had a 2003 White Maxima, wrecked at 100 mph and these are pictures of the car at the wreck yard.

He was going down an exit ramp, that went under an overpass. He his the wall of the overpass, where one person was ejected, and the car rolled to the center median, where it caught fire, and stopped.

No drugs or alcohol was a part of this,... just a guy like you and i having fun in the maxima and lost control.

He must have been flying, as in the second picture middle right it looks like the cam shaft out of the motor, or out put pinon shaft out of the transmisson, so the impact was total destruction of the car. Car crushers/grinders don't do it that good at the junk yard.

It just goes to show you even though it is made of metal, speed will kill.

if you look closely, he was running on the stock RE-92's....i'm not saying those did it, because it's very easy to lose control at those speeds, but with my experiance, those tires didn't help the outcome...sad to see, and let this be a lesson to us all.

RIMP. sorry to hear about your loss. a good friend of mine died a few years ago from injuries aquired in the passenger seat of his own car. some drunken illegal alien was driving the car for some reason, blew stop sign and was t-boned on the passenger side by a tow truck. of course that's where my friend was sitting. pretty messed up. the alien got like 6 years in prison.

Ill say its real allright

Mandy Moore - So Real music song lyric

Innocence is what i've got
It'll take true love to hit the spot
can't control my every move
When we're together We're in the groove
don't care about your other girls
I'm the only one who rocks your world
Gonna have to keep me satisfied
Cause my innocence won't be denied

CHORUS
Baby it's real So so real
That I just can't explain the way That it's making me feel
So so real Baby it's real
I just can't let you go Baby,oh, baby it's real
keeps me hanginn' on Baby it's real

My heart is under lock and key
Together we can set it free
Ain't no mountain that we can't climb
All you got to do is take your time
I said I'm giving you my all and all
Be careful that you don't slip and fall
It's my innocence that make you yearn
For that perfect gift that you can't return

CHORUS

Baby you know that it's real
The way that your making me feel
You know that baby, baby, it's real
That I just can't explain the way
That it's making me feel
So, so real

Baby it's real
So so real
That I just can't explain the way
That it's making me feel
So so real
Baby it's real
I just can't let you go
Baby,oh, baby it's real
It keeps me hanging on
Baby it's real

The fact that you're quoting Mandy Moore leads me to believe you have a tendency to be homoerotic

As for the original thread, it's sad that people lost loved ones, but it's the price to pay for such idiocy. This is one of the many daily reminders that life is precious.

A terrible tragedy indeed. I second the observation about the RE92s if it happened in the rain, but otherwise it can simply be a matter of debris/dirt on the road and too much speed. You can never be too careful on hard corners, especially with a stock suspension. There's a reason so many of us spend so much time setting up our own "perfect suspension" - because it can be a lifesaver.

I think it is to pump some reality into this place, where there is alot of idle talk about reckless driving habits and alot of these younger guys have a false sense of security and invincibility when driving......

True. A friend of mine (more so friend by association..) recently lost his life flying around a curve on a highway in his buddy's Integra. He lost control slammed into the exit sign, wasn't wearing his seatbelt, went flying out the window, was hit by his car which continued to roll over his body before comming to a full stop upon his mangled body. It's a F'ed up situation but in my heart I don't feel sorry for him because he was being a dumba$$ and always had a habit of being a dumba$$. There were 2 others in the car who survived thanks to thier seatbelts. Oh wait, lets not forget to mention he was drinking and getting high all day. I sure he would have gotten owned n the road with or without the drugs.

Sad but true story
