Just check out the pictures on page 2. That is just crazy!!! You'll know what I mean when you see them.

Someone get this guy a flame-retardant suit.

I wonder if he's on this board?

Yea well I didnt read the whole thing, but he sure has one heck of a custom setup. I really dont know what to think about it. I know my SER get mighty hot inside, and with the whole exhaust IN the car hes gunna fry.

It's a nice engine setup, though I'm not sure why he didn't run a conventional exhaust setup instead of having all that plumbing inside the cabin

He's got some serious ***** running the k03s inside the cabin, and for the entire project actually, I really dig it besides the fact that the turbos are right next to him.

Some people take weight reduction a little too far though. I know a guy with a turbo civic who cut out the supports in his hood and several structural reinforcements for weight savings. I guess with a roll cage it's somewhat excusable..

he ought to enclose the turbo/exaust from the rest of the cabing and run a duct from the wheelwell into it and then out to keep the temps down

I am surprised he did a hood scoop for the intercooler. I would have figured he would put it in place of the sunroof.

its not an intercooler, its one of those ricer "front mount" intake systems for Hondas, he is using it for an intake it looks like. if you look at the reflection in the window you can see the panel filter

If you shift quick enough and correctly you wont get much if any turbo lag, or at least i dont on my turbo VE 5spd.

Besides its a vg motor, and those vg autos dont hold up to well. just do a search in the 3rd gen forums.

that's got to be the most godawful ghetto setup I've ever seen. soooo many bad ideas crammed into one car.

heat and exhaust leaks in the cabin, noise, turbo lag from all the piping.. just the looks of it scare me anyway... all those oil hoses all inside the cabin.. just asking to be deep fried in his own 10w30- or hell, cooked alive for that matter when it hits one of those exhaust housings and catches fire.

there's a reason you have a FIREWALL between your engine and the interior of the car. this guy just seems to think it's meant to keep the rain out.

and now look at those metal straps holding all that crap up. there is ZERO strength in bending up some $5 home depot bar stock to hold that stuff in there. I could bend that crap into a pretzel with my bare hands, or just by leaning on the thing assembled. note the cracks in the bends on the corners. you just can't bend that crap like that and expect it not to fatigue. it's going to fall apart within months, if it even lasts that long.

and then it's back to the firesuit issue. with that much metal right there next to him, he's never going to be able to drive it long enough to get anything up to temperature. those metal straps and that 18gauge sheet metal box he's talking about adding are going to get oven-hot, and there's not even room for a center console in there! WTF is he going to put his arm when he's driving? (You sure know a pimp like dis ain't gonna have both hands on the wheel!!)

he better hope he doesnt have an exhaust leak or a turbo that has a leaky oil seal. If he seafoams his car, his cabin fills with smoke LOL
