where to place radar detector... (picture)
Re: EH OH, Gov't person
hahaha nah I'm not a cop, and I got a V1 in my car and yeah, I drive at like 80 mph too, but what I'm sayin is that not everyone that drives fast know how to drive fast like those ignorite ***** you're talkin about. these are the same idiots that cause accidents and kill people, its also cops that cruise the highways that catch these idiots. you'd be surprised how many people can't drive straight at 80 mph, especially when they're talkin on a cell phone or readin a book. that's right, i've seen one idiot in a ford contour reading a novel swerving all over the road. but for the most part, people can drive straight going 80-90 whatever floats your boat, but then there are those that CAN'T, these are the people you have to worry about and need to be taken off the road, especially if they're drunk.

ARE YOU A Cop??? hahaha Nah man. what my man, frougier is trying to say about the people that drive fast is that most of the people tht drive fast CAN drive fast I.E. around 80 mph's. The problem i think comes in to play is when the ignorite ****'s (I.E. the hondaBoys) start to switch lanes like it is there job and make everyone else slam on there brakes. this is the problem. if a person can't drive straight at 80 miles an hour I'M SORRY. GET THE F*** OFF THE ROAD( atleast move to the right lane) every weekend i drive from nj to Cape Code i see the hondaBoys and the other wanda be sports car cutting and weven in and out of traffic. trust me i do. then there are the people that drive the damn speed limit in the fast lane or the middle. Sorry grandpa," MOVE THE F*** OVER." So with you saying that people can drive fast is a lie. Most normal people Know there abilitly. and the roads are built for speed. I mean think about it man, the roads are F***en straight. You really can't mess up going straight. Well maybe you can. since you are making a big deal about it. hahaha. Later

It seems that police in different states use different frequencies. X-band seems to be the prevelant one in NJ with the State Police using it as well as most municipalities. Starting in PA and going through the mid-west, K-band is more prevalent and in Colorado, KA band is the favorite there. It isn't necessarily true that police favor one band over the other, but if they were, why wouldn't they favor X or K band which would yield them additional spots to hide as the X and K band provides signals from alarms and door openers to provide daily drivers with a false sense of security.
While yes, cops drive around the highways at ridiculous speeds, the ones patrolling the highway are also the ones working at stopping drugs or what not. That also means they are state troopers, and its their job to patrol the highway, and not to protect your home and kids from bad guys, that's your local municipality's job. While speed traps are setup primarily to catch speeders, they are also devised to catch potential drunk drivers and other people who shouldn't be on the road, all these people like to speed. And cops do have to drink coffee, how else do you expect them to stay awake, they get sleepy like everyone else.

And not everyone who drives fast knows how to drive,
look at Germany for instance, there are thousands of accidents and deaths each year because of people thinking they know how to drive fast when they really can't. Lots of innocent lives lost because of some driver who thought they can drive at 120+ MPH without a problem and then losing control and flying off into the woods or even worse, into another car.

No you aren't. Sorry I was reading it at 8AM and misread what you had wrote.
Are you a cop or what?
Well, there's driving and driving. If you doing 60mph in heavy traffic, in a middle of a snow storm and driving onto the shoulder just to pass, I think you have no clue. If you're driving 80mph in clear traffic on a straight, dry road, I think that's a lot smarter than weaving in and out of traffic, braking every 5 seconds. Not only you're abusing your car and wasting gas, It is plain stupid.
I don't think you know what you are talking about. On an average, Germans have 2.4+ cars per person. It is one of the highest in all Europe. Based on how many miles driven per year, there is statistically less accident than most countries in the world. Of course, there are thousand of innocent dead every year, but then again statistically you aren't correct. There are thousand of dead everywhere even in countries where .2% of the population can afford a car. I never said all German know how to drive or that driving at 120+mph is smart. My point was straight forward, if you don't get and I am not trying to flame or anything I am sorry. I am saying: Get a radar detector, Fight all your tickets.

I have read that the detector could possibly work as well through the front tint. If you have 5% on the rest of your windows, will that affect performance too?

I've heard you shouldn't put it up by the oem blue tint at the top of the windshield.
But I don't see how this could affect a radio signal.
I could see where it might affect sensitivity to a laser signal.
I want to tint my windows...
Again, I can see where it might affect sensitivity to a laser signal, but radio waves?
Maybe if it is a metalic type tinting film.
Anybody know about this?
