I just won the bid on this Warpspeed Y-pipe on Ebay. Can anyone tell from the pic if it has the new and improved flex section on it?

Anyone that wrapped their y-pipe with header wrap; how much do I need (Jeg's has a roll of 2" x 50' for $35) and where's the best price? Also, should I wrap it before or after I install it?

TIA

I wrapped mine with header wrap I bought from www.summitracing.com I think it was around $30. I would recommend you use hose clamps and not the metal zip ties. My zip ties worked fine for a while, but after a 1100 mile road trip, the header wrap started coming off, so I will be fixing it with hose clamps as soon as it stops raining. I would wrap it as soon as you get it, it will be a lot easier to wrap off the car, and get it on nice and tight. Good luck.

GOOD BYE STS

A whole roll will allow you to do the whole y-pipe twice.

Jegs or Summit is best.

Do it before!!!!

Thanks for the tips. I was going to use stainless steel safety wire, but I think I'll go with the hose clamps as you suggest.

Sorry for the broken link to the pic, can't seem to get the code right.

Yeah Matt, I couldn't resist it. Oh well, maybe I can find a home in Street Prepared>

Keith, glad you add a power mod! I have the WSP y-pipe as well. A few weeks ago, Matt helped me put on some header wrap on the y-pipe. There are no more "bees in the can" noises. You'll definitely enjoy the new power. I agree with everyone else that this is the single best power mod for the Maxima besides nitrous or supercharger. Still waiting for my VB from Don...
