i just bought my BRAND NEW head unit, i got an alpine cda-7873. with xm satelite radio ready. 60 watts, on sale at circut city for $320.00. also the alpine sps-1729s, 6 1/2" coaxil on sale for $69.99. this was a $100.00 total savings. these head units are a real 60 watt amp. so i will be able to get real descent sound with out using an amp to the speakers, so i can just use an amp for the sub. $$ save. the install will be tomorrow and i will let everybody know how it goes. im out, have a good one. my new slogan,"SO WHAT." the reason i say this is because i have learned that when you explode and get upset with things it can have a very negative effect on your heart. you heard it here. chilln' like a villn'. sleeper. thump thump ba bump bump..yeehh booy, hahaha

 

i usually post about performance mods, so this is a change for me. but the alpine is in. this is one bad stereo system, tilt head, remote, etc. i replaced the headunit, all four speakers, and a BRAND NEW kicker 12" sub in a nice smaller size box, stuffed with that good white fluffy stuff, and mounted the amp on top.(for now)in the trunk, right behind the rstb, in the center. man that thing cranks it out! i will get a playstation 2 and a monitor added next for video entertainment. again, this sytem will rock the block baby! oh my.

 

soo, does this mean i will here you coming right before you pass me?

 

hey delos...i have the 7863 which was discontinued to make room for the 7873...pretty much the same unit...i love it and im sure you will too...time for you to bump down the quarter now

 

to redmax, you will probably pass me, and see me trying to figure out all these freaking adjustments on the headunit.hey, keep your eyes on the road man! to chris, i do like this unit, is yours xm ready?

yup! ant i am tripping man. this system is powerful, to me anyway. i am doing the interior now. at least i am trying to concentrate on it. help me out, when i think about new seats and steering wheel, i think about zex nitrous 55 shot. help me decide please. lol, and after watching the fast and the furious, i have to get nitrous! yea boy!

 

Forget interior .. go for the Zex setup ...
you don't need an interior .. it just makes you slower
