Does anyone know what hp gain can I get with high flow intake? Stillen sais the car can gain an extra 20 horsepower. Is that true?

They are lying. I think it's more like 3-4hps. But I am not sure.

 

They say 6 HP for the version for the Maxima. I got that out of my JWT Popcharger.

 

maybe that 20 hp was ment with other mods....

 

The Y-pipe doesn't even make that much by itself.

 

I had the Stillen kit on my car for a month and i got rid of it. I lost all my low end power, but i did gain high end a bit! My sugestion is to go with the CAI for the best results in both low/high end. If you want a sugestion with the Stillen kit i can help you out to get better air flow to it.

This is what I found on their web site:
"Does it work? The addition of the STILLEN Hi-Flow alone has been dyno tested at an extra 20 horsepower. This is power you can feel and your best dollar per horsepower investment by far! With CARB approval, the STILLEN Hi-Flow intake is 50 state legal."

 

They claim their little cone filter to make 20hp, and even CAI(much, much better) don't even add that much. They need to go to lying school or something.

 

In their catalog for the Maxima they say 6 though. I think the 20 is for other cars. You may be able to gain 20 on very restrictive stock airboxes on turbo cars. I gained 6 HP on mine, but lost torque at the same time.

 

That 20 hp you're seeing is for the 300ZX TT (with ecu and injector upgrade I think).

 

So that means anywhere from 0-20hp. Get it?
