Auto Park Option??

If the Auto Park Feature was an option for your maxima, would you pay extra for it? (this is for a statistics project for school, thanks in advance for the replies)

IMO it's for tards that use other cars as an indication to when they have to stop....their bumpers! : and if you do that you obviously don't have a nice car so you shouldn't be driving a max!

NO I would not. Learning to parallel park should be a requirement for all DMV tests. Hell they should make it a requirement to parallel park on a hill with a stick shift.

If you can't park, you shouldn't be driving. If you are too lazy to park, that's just pathetic.

autopark seems stupid, learn to park your own car. yes its cool, but im not gonna pay extra for it. plus im waiting for the day when it malfunctions and destroys a bunch of cars trying to park.

statistics sucks!! im taking AP stat right now and its my worst class of the day.

I wouldn't pay extra for it, but I could see more manufacturers coming out with this features. Most people have trouble paralell parking, and the feature takes a lot of work to make it work correctly. When you really think about it, it would add a good image to any company that adds this feature to their vehicles.

Yup that's what they hope, and u're right, it does take a lot of work but nothing beats the satisfaction of sqeezing your maxima into a tight space

No, I don't trust Nissans sensors to not fail and leave me with a hefty insurance bill.

i don't enjoy parking and i am lazy, but i can still park..
to pay for this feature? no = VOTED NO
if there was a prototype they offered me? yes
but all people should still learn to park cuz what if the feature fails?
though a bunch of idiots out there do need to learn how to park; they should pay for this because i got my front and rear end fawked; right after a paint job as well..

Bad sensors most likely....the sensors are the heart of this system. If ones fails you are f'd and can end up with a hefty repair bill. Failure could mean being outside of calibration specs just enough to bump into other objects.

Even if I had a billion dollars, I would still NOT get the auto park feature. Spend the money on other stuff.

neighbor bought one, which is kinda ironic seeing as though we live in the city(south philly) and the price of the car rivals the value of our homes but either way I haven't seen it work yet. Our street is just wide enough for cars to be parked on one side and cars to pass on the other barely...everytime he's tried it it says "Error-auto park unavailable at this time-error" just wont work in the kinda spots we have...we took it on a larger street and it kinda worked although it wouldn't auto park in a spot that didn't allot for less than 2 feet distance in front and back of the car, which nearly never happens here. Only time he said it worked was in a parking lot where they park parallel against the wall and there was a car in front of him but not behind him and there was no type of anything to his left....he's way disappointed with it. kinda felt bad saying it but i had to let him know I told you soo
