Where are the good carbon fiber hoods?

what i mean by that is not a hood that weighs 20+ lbs.
I would like a FRP hood or good CF hood that fits well and is 17lbs or less.

I have seen org members in the past with 7-12lb CF hoods where are those hoods now? and whats availiable in a light hood.

And to answer some questions that might come . yes i want this for weight reduction nothing else and yes the 30+ lbs of reduction will help alot . I estimate almost a tenth gained in the 1/4 from a 10-15 LB hood.

i may be wrong, but i think the less than 17lbs hoods were made by fiberimages, and they didn't have a skeleton underneath.

i have a c-wings hood that i have not yet put on, but i think it's about 19-20lbs.

What year car? There is only one option in carbon fiber for the 3rd gens, Fiber Images, and they weigh less than 10 lbs. Hell, I think the box they come in weighs more than the hood.

For 4th gens there are more options.

My POS hood from ebay is about 17 lbs. I havent seen one like mine on there in some time.

Fiber images are pretty much the best, not sure on the weight, but they dont have a skeleton. Meximax has one.

Yes, Fiber Images still makes the 4th gen hoods. I know this because when I ordered my 3rd gen hood I received a 4th gen by mistake (a mistake very quickly corrected I should add). I went thru AEIPerformance.com
