Do I need additional Mods for my NOS Kit?
#1
I bought the JC Whitney NOS Kit on the internet. I will be using this for my own fun and won't be using it very often. I think I remember reading from your posts about how the basic NOS kit will work fine without any problems on my stock engine. Is this true? Some of my friends drive little Hondas and they are telling me to get mods done to handle the Nitrous Oxide because the increased pressure can blow the Pistons.
Now, if I need modifications, will these mods affect my car when I drive regular in the city or freeway since I won't be boosting very often.

Did you check your compression? If you did and its fine, and you AREN'T planning on using this on a regular basis, then yes, what came in the kit is fine. If you plan on using it more often, get the guages. Also, chack any of the 500 other threads that were posted in the last 2 weeks about this.

Guys, Guys, Guys...
For the basic 50-60hp NOS dry kit you can get by with out all the gauges and extras as long as you check your spark plugs often for signs of leaness and detonation. It is much better to have the gauges than not, but if your on a budget you can do with out them at the 50-60hp level. The gauges are a piece of mind item for 50-60hp level with a stock fuel pump, and they look cool too . When you step up to 70+hp you need the gauges and an upgraded fuel pump for sure.
