i was on my way home from shooting pool and when i exit off the freeway, a 4dr integra with a loud exhaust pulls up next to me. we both turn left and i drive normally as he floors the turn and passes me. the next light from the overpass is red and we pull side by side. we take off and i tear him up by many many car lengths, maybe he wasnt racing? so then i just coast back down to speed limit and he flies by me and i just see his two DTMs yelling in my face. i then drop it to 2nd and pull next to him. we are goin about 50 and he drops it to 2nd gear and paces me at high rpms.. i then just drop it to 2nd and gun it and rip and new @ss on his fart box.. i pull up to the next stop sign and wait for him to see if he wanted more 4DSC.. he pulls up and rolls down his window. he starts revving his engine and nods his head. i smile and starts shaking my head and wait for him to take off first. as soon i see him move, i raise my rpms to 2k real quick and drop the clutch (not my best take off style) and pull away from him with ease. i just said forget it and let him fly by me, hes not worth my $1.80 a gallon gas anymore... im sure that the integra was NOT a gsr, no way, even with a decent driver, could it be slow like that. and i think it was a 5spd because he dropped down a gear, unless he was manually shifting...anyways, another kill to add to my list, thanks for reading

If driver's are equal, should a 5sp GSR be able to pull on the VQ anyway?

You shouldn't count that as a kill

Agreed. I mean come on. You have a strong V6, he has a non-vtec 4.

Max vs. non-VTEC integra...no contest, unless his is a 5-speed and yours an auto.

5spd Max vs. GSR...you should slowly pull.

5spd Max vs. Type-R...he should slowly pull, although my intake and Y-pipe helped me run DEAD even with one a couple weeks ago...neither of us was ahead by more than a foot from 0-90 mph...I felt happy, indeed.

I show no respect to people who thinks they are so great killing a Integra with no Vtec.

J/k.!

C'mon people!!

he had super DTMs that woke up the whole neighbor hood, he was slammed to the ground for superior handling, and he had little blue lights in his car for warpseepd acceleration... this is by far my best kill

max vs. non-vtec integra...even if the integra is a 5spd. and the max is an auto, the max will still win. i know that i can take out the non-vtec 5spd. integras with ease and yes i even took a few gsr's. now, the type r, that's a different story. i would get killed big time.

ive been gsr's b4...
just cuz its a 5spd doesnt mean the driver can drive.

btw LS tegs can run low 15s with mods.......which is about what most maximas do.....

5 Speed GSR is still only good for 7 seconds. I doubt even a Type R can handle the Maxima.

When I was stock my friend's GS-R with intake and exhaust could beat me ok from 40-90 MPH. I always could take him 0-60. I think right now I would rip him a new one very fast.

An ITR will beat a Maxima, stock vs. stock, doesn't matter what year and whether it's an auto or 5spd. I have the highest respect for the ITR. If I get an Integra, that's the only Integra I would get. Sorry, but the ITR can more than handle a Maxima.

When I had around 1500 miles on my car, my roomates friend challenged me ro race his Civic with a Type R motor. He also had intake and full exhaust done. I slowly pulled away from him (After a very bad launch ). I also think that my car wasn't making its full power due to it being new.
My 2 cents

no offense but i don't think your friend can't drive cause a light civic hatchback with a type r (195 hp vtec) motor can really move (unless your maxima have a crap load of mods), i seen them go mid 14's stock at the track (thats with a very skilled driver of course). also, some LS's are not that slow, they can run mid to low 15's with I/H/E (intake, headers, exhaust) mods and i seen hybrid LS's (LS engine with a vtec head) run low 14's easily (but they where in a light civic hatchback) but still. this is just my opinion but i would never buy any 4 cylinder honda car unless it had vtec. cause with out vtec a 4 cylinder honda is just crap (unless once again you have a crap load of mods). ok i rambled on long enough...btw, i raced my friend's go cart, it can go as fast as 60 miles per hour. i beat him by this many cars 89478930274890327489071089470189374890173408973892 47389247982374897129471294789327489017234890713908 47890123748903217498137240897219348798127498312748 93127489271349738912047891274890372890471892047918 027498013748971, and i was still in first gear.

I give you props. It might not have been fair car for car but the fact that you were challenged and took him makes it a kill in my book. Nice job.

I don't know about his driving skills. It wasn't a hatchback, though, just your regular 4-door Civic. I wanted to prove to him, that just because he got an ITR motor, doesn't mean his Civic will be just as fast. I was right. His other friend even went as far as to bet me a case of beer. So they were pretty sure...I dunno....
A win is a win,isn't it?

p.s. I have no mods.

a win is a win, no doubt about that. "ask any racer, any real racer...it doesn't matter if you win by a an inch or a mile, winin is wining." hehe, ok...enough of that. btw - you know what the hell i mean when i say stock even though its a motor swap.
