Harbor Freight tools sells a "Fuel Master".

From the catalog:
"Simply strap to your fuel line to save gas and increase efficiency.
Fuel Master's magnetic field breaks up clusters of hydrocarbon for more complete burning.
Use on cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats and small engines.
11.6% average highway fuel savings as tested by a U.S. EPA accepted Laboratory.
Prevents buildup of dirt in engine injectors."

Sounds like a load of stink to me.

Anybody know anything about this - like how it could possibly work?

Sorry to be dense there.
But I have never watched Jeopardy.
Not even once. Really. Game shows are a waste of time.
Still, I might have caught the reference.
All I could think was it was some movie I didn't know or your real name was Alex and you wanted to buy some expensive crap...

Speedvision: WRC, SCCA Rally, F1, Dreamcar Garage, American Classics, Legends of Mospo...
X-files, Star Trek, Simpsons, King of the Hill, Futurerama,

This is just as bad as the Prolong commerials with people driving around with no coolant and no oil in there engines.

They are being sued out the a$$ for false advertising.

I just don't know why they bother making them any more.
I mean, they're all basically the same
especially when you get to the close-ups.
all that changes is hair style [upper and lower]
and now there's silicone...

according to DBMartin it's a bunch of hooey

I suspected as much.

But I figured they were advertising it and all, and the lab...

But I mean really,
if it worked, wouldn't it be a standard part on every car?

Check the thread, same title, on the 4th gen forum -

of course it's bs, think about it, do you really think that if it did what they claimed it to do the major companies wouldn't jump on that, of course they would, this fuel master people spend little $ in development and do you really think what they came up is that dramatic? I doubt it, and if it was, certainly a major corporation would buy it and make a good profit off of it, it's not worth your time
