It looks better, has ind' rear, dual exhaust, just about as fast with the SE 3.5, cost less, not phased out platform like the maxima/i30 will be, goodness, I want to trade my Infiniti in for one!

The more I look at the new Altima, the more I think it looks like . . . . well . . . an Altima. I think the rear on the Maroon color car looks good but don't like it on the others (there are a bunch of shots on freshalloy).

IMHO, the current gen (as well as 4th gen) Maxima is a better looking car - that includes the rear of both.

Who knows, the Altima rear might grow on me like the Maxima's (4th and 5th gen) did.

I'm also beginning to think that after 2002, the Maxima will really start to lose sale numbers. The Altima will eat into the low end of Maxima. The G35 will eat into the SE market substantially. What will be left? An underpowered Q45 wannabe?

Well, after you buy a "brand" like Infiniti, you feel silly not only going back to "Nissan" but an Altima!!! Bey Heck, look at the performance/vaue! And yes, after market support should be great! I'm just saying its a better deal for performance 4 door oriented people then the 02 maxima is or the 02 I35 sport!

With the new G35 late in 2002, and this car, I also wonder what will become of the Maxima.
