I need to get new tires so i've been looking at the kuhmo ecstas and the nitto 555s. I can get them both for around the same price...i just can't decide on which. Can any one give me some feedback? thanks...

 

Between the 2 that you mention, the Ecsta 712s look pretty nice for the price. I didn't love the Nitto NT450s that I had, so I'm slightly biased.

 

What didn't you like about the Nitto NT450's? They seem like a reasonable priced, stock size tire, but I have no experience with Nitto.

My oreder Ecstas are sitting in the store waiting for me.

I will have them install tomorrow or Friday.

I compared quiet a few tires: RE730, Michelin XGT H4, Energy MXV4, I decided on the Kuhmo based on price, and Maxima drivers' feedback.

 

I've heard that the 450's have horrible wet weather traction.

 

I decided on the kumhos. I had them mounted last week. They are great! pretty quiet compared to the annoying loud perelli's.
