Bend over and Smile!!!! You're the insurance man's prison biautch now! My suggestion is take the defensive driving school. It should help lower the rates some and take off a couple points. The amount it's going to go up will depend on your company, your state, and whatever they feel like charging you. Doesn't look like you'll be getting the turbo now.

Is the car in your name, or your parents? If possible, then have it re-registered to a trust-worthy person (family member?) who is out of state, or better, in a neighboring country (no joke) and become an optional driver. Insurance companies can't really hunt you down state-to-state, unless you use the same company. My insurance agent pulled this trick when he got into 4 collisions in one year.

Believe me, this won't be your last ticket, and your not out of the woods until at least 25 or 26.

Re: Get a lawyer-->>

Anyways it was this straight road, and a ****ing cop was sitting there like a parked car on the side of the street, i slowed down before I went past him and he says he got me at 56, but i dont belive it. Anyways, Im going to court to plead guilty with explanation, im going to go to drivers improvement class then ill be alright. I dont understand why I wouldnt be able to get the turbo either, because its my $$$. But I dont think its a good idea. I need a f'ing radar detector.

It stands for Policeman benevolant association. IT basically means that u either have family or friends in the police department. So when u flash this usually u can get away with a lot of ****. But it still depends on the cop and whether its the end of the month and he didnt meet his quota yet.

Your insurance shouldn't go up at all. You insurance company doesn't check your driving record on a regular basis. They only time they ever check it is when you get a new policy. Claims are what makes your insurance go up...not speeding tickets. Now if you were to drop your current insurance and go to another company, the rates would be higher because they would check your driving record and see the ticket.

Believe me....I've had 5 speeders since I was 16 (I'm 21 now), and my premiums have NEVER gone up becuase I don't make claims or get into accidents.

Technically you could even get into an accident, and pay out of pocket and your insurance company would NEVER know the difference..they only care when they have to pay.
