I have a 96 max gxe and the steering wheel is BĪG and Ugly. I was wondering if any one has ever swaped theirs with a 5gern wheel, a 97-99 max, a 95 and up 240, or a 91 and up 300zx (90 didnt have an airbag). If the cruiz controles are different i can work around that but my mail concern in mounting and the ait bag connector. If any one has had any exp with this let me know thanks. mike

if you get the airbag along with the steering wheel from

1. 97-99 Maxima
2. Possibly 300zx

Can't be done with Steering Wheel along!

different airbag/airbag cpu and how it is housed in the steering wheel......which is why you need ALL 97 to 99 stuff: wheel, airbag, and airbag ecu........

That'll probably run you at least $800 for the airbag/airbag ecu, and then $350 for the *nice* Leather and Wood Steering Wheel which is readily available on the 97 to 99 non-SE model Maximas.....a forum search on "leather wood steering wheel" will reveal more info...

You're basically looking at $1200 or so to do the swap.
