Does anyone else wash their car and then decide that they are way too lazy to use a cloth to dry it, and break out a backpack leafblower? Or am I the only one?

HAHA, my dad does that!!! You aren't that lazy that you at least try to wash your car. When I'm washing my car, my dad says, do mine next.

isn't it more work to walk to the garage or wherever you keep your leaf blower, make sure there's enough gas in it, pull the cord a few times to start it, lift the heavy thing to your back, walk back to the car and then move your arm(s) around than to just have a chamois or cloth in your hand?

That damn thing scratched the s*** out my 95 max! Last time I saw that thing I went ape **** on it and chucked it at a rock, lol. I think it has something to do with having a lot sand a nd grit in the air from my crapy driveway.

Whats the best way to avoid swiral marks? Will a brand new cotton towel make swirl marks? I am getting a new car soon and I want to make sure I keep it clean and swiral free.

Instead of making circles, wipe dry in straight lines. Swirls are minimized.

I use a leather chamois too. I like it because it lets me inspect the car closely and see all the new scratches and chips in the paint.

Those 2002's are going to be a bit pricey. I whould rather buy a 2001 GXE straight out rather then get a $10K+ lone. I will plop 3-4 grand in it and it will be just as quick as the 2002's and it will be better looken too.

BEST WAY TO DRY AND WAX

GOD DAMN THE CALIFORNIA WATER BLADE!

I use Calif Water Blade for 5 min, and then ended up
gs-27'ing my car 2 hours to get rid of scratches...btw, GS-27 also got rid of every other scratch such as the ones in the door handle.

Best solution for drying is not washing 8 )
-use that spongey/rubbery cloth stuff

-To do windows, "steal" one of those washer things at a Gas Station...they are awesome AND free

For Waxing...
-steal your GF's or wife's wax..that stuff is AMAZING

-go with synthetic waxes if you are lazy and dont wanna do it much (NuFinish works great...but dont do tooo much or u will "yellow" out your paint.)

-go with Canouba based waxes...they are really good, but you need to wax alot.

-again..."steal" your bro's or Sister's t-shirts...for some reason, I get the best results with T-shirts

Try this if you don't want to dry it, wash your car with palmolive and that will strip all the wax off it, wash your car again and just let the water soak into the paint, no drying required, I can't do this though I have a Black car and wash it at least 2 or 3 times a week and wax in every 2 weeks, washed it yesterday, rained even though the STUPID FREAKIN weather man said no raing till Wednesday, and then washed it again this morning before work. Washing my car is they only time I am not lazy, hell I am on here from work, just sitting here not doing anything but typing and playing golf online
I love this tech support job
