To all:

I know some of you guys have been getting speeding tickets.
I've given many advice on this issue to my friends and they
have beaten the ticket. Here's a couple sites with full
of info. Enjoy!!

http://www.sickone.com/speeding.html
http://www.nb.net/~glarkin/special/001.htm

If you don't want to prepare a case against a ticket, you
can ask for a continuance. If you do this a couple of times
the officer will not show up on a reschedule hearing 90%.
Your case will be dismissed.

Another thing you can do also is if you decide to pay the
ticket. Mail in $3 over the ticket. DON'T cash the check -
Throw it away. Demerit points are not removed from your
license until all of the financial transactions are
complete. If you don't cash the cheque then the transactions
are not complete, however, the system has got its money so
it is happy and doesn't bother you anymore.

Don't know if it would work everytime but who knows.

This is not an endorsement for you to speed so you can go
to court to beat the ticket. This is for individual who just
happen to get caught for not paying attention on your speed.
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR COURT CASE. I've won every case and you
can also....

That joke with the dead body in the trunk was funny.

That extra money thing sounds interesting. Does this work on any moving violation?

BrianV,

I believe so. If it doesn't you can always cashin the
refund check you get back from the court.

Maybe for city cops but not for the CHP. They nailed me to the wall and crushed me. CHP cops always show up to court. They get paid for it where as the city cops do not.

100% correct. it doesn't work..here's why..
you over pay the ticket, the cty send u a check. you're not going to cash it and you think they will keep the case open...well nope..after 60-90 days they will close the case. turn on the extra money to the government and it will be put in to unclaimed property. so you got your pts coming to u and you even lost a few bucks inthe mean time. you can later file a claim to get the $ later...

interesting...! I got nailed on memorial day weekend coming back from michigan to chicago....! ticket cost me $80 plus couple points.

I mailed a check in for $83...thinking that I'd be getting a refund check soon...but NO!!!!!!!!!!! have not seen the refund check anytime / anywhere.

wonder if the points are on my record? can someone tell me how to go check?

then in july...I get into a car accident...chicago cop tells me that my record is clean...but my insurance premiums have gone up "double"!

Tclee,

Go to the court clerk and ask for a refund. You can ask
the DMV or MVA to see if you got points taken from your
driving record. You can also ask your insurance why your
premiums went up. They should give you a reason why.
