can you buy all the parts in a CV joint new(and also, what parts are in a CV joint?)? i was talking to my dad about getting mine repaired and so he called his friend. his friend said that you CANT buy a brand new CV joint, you can only buy them used, but rebuilt. is this true? if yes, why cant you buy a new one? thanks?

I believe they are called half shaft. You probably can get brand spanking new one from Nissan, but it will be $$$. The rebuilt is as good as new and you can pick it up for around $70 + core. Try AutoZone.

Email Don, and ask him if he is selling them, he posted a while back about a upgrade.

But be patient he is a busy guy, it may take him a while to reply.
