My latest GTECH run tonight..

70 Degrees
15.29@94.8mph

My last run was at about the same temp but I ran a 15.39. I think I got a really bad launch this time.. The additional torque from the Y-pipe makes me spin tire and torque steer.. Will run again after I learn how to control the car better.. I don't want to lower the tire pressure because thats not "real world" scenario... But Y-pipe dropped my 1/4 mile time by .1 even though I had a really bad tire spinning launch.. I would say the pipe did something.. =)

Doesn't the Y-pipe decrease low end (torque)...

but increases high end (hp)? This is the case when I got my custom y-pipe installed. But I also got a PR CAI to compliment it. My $0.02.

Actually what difference does it make if the tires are a few psi lower? All though you don't want to ride on 22psi in the fronts it can help your launch. Also the Y pipe increases power from idle to rev limiter, you shouldn't lose any power anywhere. Too bad I'm stuck with stock manifolds

No way...

I have a lot more torque all over the place.. I think I can actually launch the car without brake torque now. It pulls hard all over.

Well I want to run the same pressure as I would when my car is normally running around on the street.. For those stoplight races.. =) I want to keep it as real as possible.. I don't want to run 30psi.. because I don't run 30PSI.. At a stoplight race I can't run out of my car and break out the pressure gauge and lower the pressure.. hehe.. =P
